What is Stress Management?
Stress Management is a comprehensive term. It encompasses tools, techniques, and therapy endeavors designed to increase our ability to thrive in our daily lives. Thriving takes energy and balance. Inappropriate stress levels directly affect our energy, physical health, and emotional well-being. The goal of Stress Management is to implement techniques for improving the overall quality of our physical and emotional well-being as we encounter stress and anxiety.
Stress is a normal part of daily living and one which we have the capacity to influence once we understand and truly appreciate the impact stress has on our mind, body, and spirit. Stress Management as a treatment and life coaching discipline reflects our opportunity to maintain a healthy assessment of our stress levels, how those stress levels originate, and what thoughts and behaviors we can take to lead our lives at the level of stress that is balanced and appropriate for our well-being.
Our bodies, minds, and behaviors (actions) are wonderful indicators that our stress levels may be out of balance. These are some of the more common signs that healthy living is being compromised by excessive stress levels. Body, mind, and behavior (actions) are intrinsically linked.
